Artist Biography
Niamh McFarlane is an abstract artist based in Scotland and a recent graduate with an Hons Art & Design degree from the University of Stirling.
McFarlane's work explores personal emotion through the intuitive application of colour, expressed through a dynamic and experimental painting practice.
By working with a range of mediums and mark-making techniques, she embraces the physicality of large-scale painting, using the canvas as a therapeutic outlet and a powerful means of emotional release.
Niamh's art seeks to challenge perceptions of colour, inviting the viewer to look beyond its surface appearance and connect with the work on a deeper level.
